The 2011/12 Girls Team has given KOSA Africa a season we will never forget. In what was their first season promoted to the PMSL — and only their second season together as a team — these young athletes achieved something truly remarkable by earning a spot in the playoffs.
For a newly formed group competing at a higher level for the first time, this accomplishment speaks volumes about their character, commitment, and growth.
The journey was anything but easy. Throughout the season, the team faced injuries, welcomed new teammates, and adjusted to the demands of a more competitive league. Yet, match after match, they showed resilience, determination, and a relentless fighting spirit.
Every game was a lesson. Every challenge became an opportunity to grow. And with each performance, the team proved they belonged at this level.
This success is a testament to two powerful forces:
The players’ dedication, discipline, and willingness to learn
The coach’s determination to push standards higher and keep the team focused on long-term development
Together, they built a foundation of trust, confidence, and belief that carried them through the season.
We are incredibly proud of this group of young women and everything they have accomplished in such a short time. Their playoff qualification is not just a milestone — it is a statement of what is possible when hard work meets opportunity.
